It is reported by The Block with reference to the local edition of Chosun that the South Korean giant LG is likely to release smartphones with support for blockchain technology.

So far, the company has done a market research on blockchain companies and decentralized applications (dApps).

“LG is likely to respond to Samsung’s innovative initiative”, writes a source familiar with the situation.

It became known way back in the summer that the company is interested in blockchain – in July, the corporation began registration of the ThinQ Wallet trademark, which includes the “software computer platform for blockchain”, “mobile electronic wallet for cryptocurrencies” and “payment application for mobile phones”. At the same time, LG already uses the ThinQ trademark on G7 + smartphone.

It should be reminded that last week there was information that Samsung, the eternal rival of LG, was going to release a version of Galaxy Note 10 with a built-in cryptocurrency wallet and dApps.
