Calibra Chief Operating Officer Tomer Barel said that Facebook had nothing to do with security-tokens trading that is taking place in Libra Investment Tokens on the secondary markets.

According to Finance Magnates, Calibra Chief Operating Officer Tomer Barel said that Facebook had nothing to do with security-tokens trading that is taking place in Libra Investment Tokens on the secondary markets.

As reported by the website, institutional investors are already trading tokens in the form of options, although they have not yet been issued.

“At the moment they are selling thin air. Maybe they are selling a promise that in the future they will have the tokens but, at the moment, there are no investment tokens,” Barel said.

These coins will be received by Libra Association member companies in exchange for investments. According to Barel, the organization has yet to discuss whether security tokens will be traded at all.

On Monday, September 16, the representatives of the Libra project will meet in Switzerland with the members of the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructure of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS), which includes officials from 26 central banks.

Let us remind that French Minister of Finance promised to block the development of the Libra project in Europe. Similar plans were also announced in Germany.
