“One of the methods we use to measure project success is related to the number of nodes deployed and managed by various partners,” the project’s website says.

The Association also noted that the set of nodes of the new digital currency would be based on a combination of local and cloud infrastructure. This approach, the developers are sure, makes the Libra network more stable.

To prepare for the launch of the main network, the Libra Association created an environment called Pre-Mainnet. It allows Libra partners who have launched full nodes to test the capabilities of the new system and communicate with each other.

Earlier, ForkLog reported that Visa, Mastercard, PayPal and Stripe companies were not in a hurry to sign official documents on participation in the Facebook digital currency project. Payment giants are  concerned about possible regulatory and data privacy issues.

It should also be reminded that the European Commission has recently launched an antitrust investigation into Libra. In particular, EU Competition Commissioner Margrethe Vestager admits that Libra can lead to the creation of a completely separate economy and disadvantage those who do not use digital currency.
