The hashrate and complexity of bitcoin mining have increased by 60% since mid-June.

The hashrate and complexity of bitcoin mining have increased by 60% since mid-June. The Coindesk reports that this indicates that more than 600 thousand new mining devices have been connected to the network.

Since the beginning of the summer, several new ASIC miners with an average capacity of 55 TH/s have appeared on the market.

With an average cost of $1500-$2500, the gross income of the leading manufacturers could reach $1 billion.

The increase in demand for equipment is partly due to the increase in bitcoin price, as well as the rainy season in the southwest China and, consequently, cheap hydroelectricity.

"In the second quarter of 2019, the market has a great shortage of miners from various manufacturers, and pre-orders will be fulfilled only by the end of the year," the TokenInsight analysts noted.

They estimate that hashrate and complexity will continue to grow. They believe that by the end of the year, the total computational capacity of the bitcoin network will exceed 100 EH/s, and the mining complexity  - 15 trillion.

Let us remind that the last week the hashrate of the first cryptocurrency updated the historical high and exceeded 94 EH/s.

At the time of writing, the hashrate in the bitcoin network is more than 90 EH/s.
